The course provides the knowledge and skills of ship officers and other officials charged with the obligations under segregation, lashing , loading and unloading operations and care during the sea passage , to dangerous, hazardous and harmful cargoes (dangerous goods - DG) in solid or packed form. In this course can be trained and people working in ports and charged with the organization and control of processing these goods.

    The course includes training on the properties and classification of the goods, the requirements for packaging and labeling, segregation on board, loading and unloading, care during the sea passage, as well as safety measures for handling and prevention of sea pollution

    The program is designed to meet the requirements for training as specified in Regulation II / 2 of Section A-II / 2 and B-V / b * B-V / c * of STCW 78 as amended , and Ch.49 of the Code of  Federal Rules of the United States, Chapter 1.3 of the IMDG Code for working in ports and the National Standard for this training of the Bulgarian Maritime Administration  from 16.07.2014. 

   Entry Standards for initial course:      Trainees shall hold certificate for maritime competency at least on operational level – watchkeeping navigational/engineering officer. Persons without such maritime competency should have completed Basic Safety Training and Advanced Training in Fire Fighting and present the following documents: diploma, certificate for maritime competency, seamen passport and the mentioned certificates.
 Entry Standards for refresger course - the same as for the initial course+previous HAZMAT certificate

Certificate
 The trainees who successfully completed this course, BMTC issues the respective  certificate with validity limited to 3 years.
Course attendance and active participation is mandatory. Final examination is videorecorded in accordance with the BMA requirements.
