The course is open for seafarers, immediately involved and responsible for the handling of cargo on oil tankers.
The programme meets the mandatory requirements for training of ship crews:the Regulation V/1-1 p.3 and A-V/1-1 p.2 of  the STCW 78', as amended.
The Course is based on IMO “Model Course 1.02 - Specialized Training for Oil Tankers”2013 Edition, the Directive 2008/106/EС of the European parliament and of the Council, and the National Maritime Standard from 2016, as well.
The course emphasizes on personal and crew safety and oil pollution prevention, procedures and regulations for correct operation on the different types of oil tankers and with different types of cargoes.
The practical part of the training is carried out on Cargo Hadling Simulator, Kongsberg AS, DNV approved.
Entry standards:
        The trainees must hold a certificate of competence (CoC). Additionallyt they must have completed courses "Advanced Training in Fire Fighting", "Basic Training in Oil and Chemical Tanker cargo operations" and to have relevant certificates.
CERTIFICATION

     The successful trainees BMTC issues an attendance certificate.
Successful trainees a certificate of proficiency “Advanced Training on  Oil Tanker Cargo Operations” is issued by the Regional Directorate“Maritime Administration"in accordance with the form, provided in Ordinance № 6 for the competence of the seafarers of the Republic of Bulgaria. Аfter additional presenting by the trainee an evidence for previous seagoing service on oil tankers at least 3 months  or  a month and evidence for being involved at least in three loading and three unloading operations on oil tanker, under the supervision of a responsible officer, documented in a training record book.
